Dynamic Visuals Take Production to New Heights
The PT-REQ15 Series is among the first 1-Chip DLP™ projectors to feature Quad Pixel Drive, our 2-axis pixel quadrupling technology, to create deep, smooth, and detailed 4K images. It supports 240 Hz projection and works with our optional real-time tracking projection-mapping system. Evolved Dynamic Contrast includes new scene-recognition circuitry to make the difference between black, white, and contrasting colours stand out dramatically and bring your content to life.
Effortless Workflow, Improved Expandability
The PT-REQ15 Series responds to complex productions with expanded functions, interfaces, and options that streamline workflow. New lens lineup improves native contrast, adds powered peripheral focus, and expands lens-shift range. Intel® SDM-specified slot integrates proprietary or third-party function boards to adapt and scale connectivity. You can import custom test patterns, use NFC function to prep for network connection without AC power, and save time with preactivated upgrade kits for Geo Pro software.
New Cabinet Design for Maintenance-Free Operation
The PT-REQ15 Series is the first 1-Chip DLP™ projector to feature a hermetically sealed optical block with all-liquid cooling, enabling 20,000 hours of maintenance-free projection. To prevent interruptions, Backup Input switches to a secondary signal without screen-blanking if the primary is disrupted, while Multi Laser Drive Engine prevents brightness loss in the unlikely event of diode failure.
Rich Colour Enhancer for Vivid, Accurate Colours
Rich Colour Enhancer is an original colour optimisation technology with two selectable modes. Dynamic Mode balances brightness and colour for clear image visibility in bright environments. Standard Mode optimises colour reproduction by expanding red-channel output, leading to more naturally vibrant red expression. This is critical for the accurate reproduction of artwork and other colour-rich content in digital museums, art galleries, and other edutainment attractions.
Deep, Smooth, and Dimensional 4K Images
Quad Pixel Drive produces smooth and detailed 4K1 images with a fascinating sense of depth. This original technology meets the rising demand for absolute visual realism in immersive entertainment spaces, particularly art museums and 360° projection mapping spaces, with smooth images that are free from visible pixels and pixel-gridding even viewed up close. Engage your guests deeply in the creator’s world with a true-to-life visual experience that brings the whole story to life.

Smooth Playback of 2K/240 Hz Content
The REQ15 projector is capable of playing 240 Hz/1080p video content smoothly with a minimal input-to-output latency of just 6ms, perfect for immersive experiences or applications such as eSports events and interactive XR attractions where fast response and fluid motion are important. The PT-REQ15 Series works with Panasonic’s optional ET-SWR101 Real-Time Tracking Projection-Mapping System, a ready-to-use Software Development Kit (SDK) that works in conjunction with infrared cameras to enable projection onto fast-moving objects at up to 240 fps, making it easy to add lifelike interactivity to your FEC, museum, or edutainment attraction.
1 ET-SWR10 is used in conjunction with third-party devices (sold separately). Compatibility with third-party devices cannot be guaranteed. Other limitations apply.
Evolved Dynamic Contrast
In addition to a higher 25,000:1 contrast ratio, Evolved Dynamic Contrast gains new scene analysis circuitry that more accurately recognises light and dark areas of the image. The difference between black, white, and contrasting colours stands out more dramatically than ever before. The technology also minimises the dimming of images when projecting contrast-rich content and makes blacks deeper and whites brighter. Each video frame is analysed in real-time, and light output is continuously adjusted to meet the precise contrast requirements of each scene, even when bright and dark images rapidly interchange.
Adjust Black Levels on Curved Screens [NEW]
It’s always been difficult to achieve uniform black levels inside blended areas on curved screens using conventional adjustment. This is because the curvature of the screen distorts the width of the black borders that define the area of black-level adjustment. Panasonic answers the problem with advanced adjustment to suit arbitrary screen shapes. You can use up to 17 control points to reshape black borders so they fit the screen symmetrically without distortion, allowing black levels to be set with 0.5-pixel precision, ideal for 4K content.
Adjust Black Levels Inside and Outside the Image Display Area [NEW]
Panasonic’s black-level adjustment has evolved to eliminate distracting black-level bumps that can appear in blends outside of the image display area after geometric adjustment is applied. By unlinking black-level adjustment from geometric adjustment, black-level settings can be applied to the entire blend, including the image overlaps outside the image display area, for a completely seamless multi-screen image.
Note: Black-level area setting must be performed before black-level adjustment. The ability to unlink black-level adjustment from geometric adjustment is supported only on flat screens when adjacent images are aligned vertically or horizontally.
Supports Widescreen Input Signals [NEW]
Single-chip DLP™ projectors are an increasingly popular choice for bringing on-site and remote teams together in hybrid conferencing spaces. The latest video-conferencing software layouts can output a 21:9 (2560 x 1080) signal to a PT-REQ15 Series projector so that the faces of remote participants appear along the bottom of the screen at eye level with those seated in the room. This improves communication fluency among members of the group. In addition, with games, films, documentaries, and other immersive content produced with a 21:9 aspect ratio, it makes sense to invest in a projector that can deliver a cinematic experience as the creators intended.
Wide Scalability with Intel® SDM-ready Slot
Intel® SDM-ready slot integrates optional proprietary or third-party function boards. These function boards reduce installation complexity and make it easier to adapt, scale, and expand your projector’s connectivity to suit different applications and event-site infrastructure. The projector works with Panasonic’s DIGITAL LINK Terminal Board (TY-SB01DL), 12G-SDI Terminal Board (TY-SB01QS), and Wireless Presentation System PressIT Receiver Board (TY-SB01WP), as well as selected third-party PC boards, terminal boards, and AVoIP boards.
Import and Save Your Custom Test Patterns
In addition to 10 built-in test patterns, you can now import and save up to three custom test patterns to the projector. You can save your preferred test patterns or use your client’s content to calibrate the projector before the video source is connected. Access compatible BMP or PNG image files saved to USB memory via the Test Pattern menu, where they can be saved, renamed, or deleted using the projector remote control.
Note: Supports PNG (1/8/16/24/32/48/64-bit, non-transparent, alpha blending disabled) and BMP (1/8/24-bit) formats with a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2400 dots.
Compatible with All-New Lens Lineup
The PT-REQ15 Series works with an all-new lineup of optional fixed, zoom, and ultra-short-throw zoom lenses for selected Panasonic 1-Chip DLP™ projectors, making it possible to deliver immersive experiences in spaces of any size and shape. The lenses, which improve native contrast performance by as much as 16%1 while reducing unwanted chromatic aberration, expand the range of powered lens-shift adjustment over previous lenses. The lenses feature Lens Memory and Auto Lens Identification functions and now offer powered peripheral focus adjustment2 operable via remote control or the Smart Projector Control3 app.

Quickly Find the Correct Projection Angle
One advantage of laser projectors is their flexibility to map images over floors, walls, complex surfaces, and 3D objects to create an immersive environment. However, adjusting the projector angle to match the one specified in the spatial design simulation can be labour-intensive and time-consuming if the projector is difficult to reach. The PT-REQ15 Series features a new gyroscopic sensor that detects body pitch and roll and projects a graphic showing the projector angle on the screen. Instead of working blindly by trial and error, installers can refer to this data and adjust the projector angle accordingly before the unit is finally secured in place.
Note: Measurement accuracy changes depending on the amount of pitch and roll applied and whether the unit is angled in one or both directions.
Smart Projector Control App Smooths Your Workflow
Smart Projector Control app simplifies projector setup and operation. Connection is easy: just scan the QR Code displayed in the projector’s OSD menu with your smartphone camera. You can control up to 64 projectors simultaneously and adjust settings without needing to project the OSD menu. You can select test patterns, adjust lens settings via the new lens-control UI, lock brightness, and perform focus adjustment using your smartphone camera from distances of up to 30m away.
Remote Preview LITE for Monitoring During Events
Remote Preview LITE lets the projectionist confirm connectivity and assess image adjustment changes prior to video projection by viewing thumbnails of the input signal on a laptop. This is useful at events such as live concerts where opportunities to check content on screen are limited due to soundchecks, sunlight on the screen, and other logistical factors.
Dust-Resistant Optical Engine and Liquid Cooling System
With a new cabinet design for more reliable operation, the PT-REQ15 Series features an optical engine and laser light source module compliant with the IP5X Dust Protected (IEC 60529)1 standard, eliminating the need for an air filter and enabling 20,000 hours2 of maintenance-free projection. Reliability is proven by accelerated dust-chamber testing in significantly dustier conditions than those in which some competitive products are tested. A refined liquid-cooling system enables continuous operation in dusty environments with significantly lower noise levels than the previous series, ideal for quiet spaces such as museums. In addition, the stylish new cabinet design blends unobtrusively into the space to minimise distractions.
1 The dust-proof performance of this unit is not guaranteed to be free from damage or failure under all conditions (environment with conductive dust, etc.). Please use an enclosure in environments with smoke containing oil, salt, and moisture.
2 Around this time, the light output will have decreased by approximately 50%. IEC62087: 2008 Broadcast Contents, NORMAL Mode, Dynamic Contrast [3], temperature 30°C, elevation 700m with 0.15 mg/m3 of airborne particulate matter. Panasonic recommends a checkup at the point of purchase after about 20,000 hours. Light-source lifetime may be reduced depending on the environmental conditions. Replacement of parts other than the light source may be required in a shorter period. Estimated maintenance time varies depending on the environment.
Backup Input Redundancy
Two identical signals can be simultaneously transmitted to HDMI 1 (Primary) and HDMI 2 (Backup). If transmission to the primary input is interrupted, the projector switches to the backup automatically in a minimum of 0.3 seconds without screen-blanking. This layer of insurance gives greater peace of mind during events where image display can’t be interrupted.
Note: Primary Input (HDMI 1) and Backup Input (HDMI 2) terminal assignment is fixed. Input signals to primary and backup inputs must be identical.
Highly Reliable Multi-Laser Drive Engine
Multiple laser modules are equipped with our unique Failover Circuitry technology. In the unlikely event a single diode fails, Failover Circuitry continues to supply electricity to the functional diodes in the series, minimising brightness loss. If the same issue were to occur in projectors without Failover Circuitry, all diodes in the module might shut down, resulting in a significant loss of brightness.
